Your exposure report shows which people-search sites list you. From there you can start Patrol for $19.99/month to have us file, chase, and verify opt-outs with each listed site, or review the removal guides yourself for free.

People-search sites index public records using a name, city, and state, so that is usually enough to find your listings. Adding an age or previous city can improve matching, but it is never required.

Most broker sites can relist you from public records over time, which is why Patrol re-checks monthly and re-files automatically if a listing comes back. A one-time removal without monitoring is not permanent.

We check your email against Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) and tell you which breaches included it. Breach monitoring does not remove leaked data; it only alerts you so you can change passwords or take other action.

Not right now. Every search requires the self-authorization box, so we only run checks and file removals for your own information.

Every listing on your report has a "Not you?" option. Marking a listing this way removes it from your active count and tells us to skip it during Patrol, without affecting the rest of your report.

Some broker sites block automated checks, change their layout, or are temporarily unavailable. We retry those sites on the next scheduled check rather than guessing at a result.

Many people-search sites are run by the same company or resell the same underlying data. When one confirmed listing shares that source with another site, we flag the family so you understand why a removal from one may affect the other.

Sign in and use "Run a new search" from your dashboard. Patrol subscribers get this automatically every month; a free check can be re-run any time.

Counts move as sites add or remove pages, as our removal requests take effect, or as a listing you marked "Not you?" is excluded. The report timeline shows what changed and when.

We send a magic link to your email instead of a code. Click it to open your account; the link expires after 24 hours, and you can request a fresh one any time from the sign-in page.

Use Google sign-in or request a new magic link to your email. There is no password to remember.

Patrol files opt-out requests with the people-search sites in your report, follows up with each provider, verifies removal with proof, and re-checks your listings monthly, plus HIBP breach monitoring.

Patrol is $19.99 per month for one adult. There is no free trial, and you can cancel any time from Settings.

Go to Settings → Billing and cancel from the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Most people-search sites process a request in 3 to 14 days. A smaller number of sites can take several weeks, and Patrol keeps checking until each request is confirmed.

Some sites email a confirmation link as part of their opt-out process. When one arrives, we let you know so you can confirm it; we never click it on your behalf without telling you.

We re-open the listing page after a request and only mark it removed once the page no longer shows your listing. We keep that proof so you can see what we checked.

If a site relists you, Patrol re-files the opt-out automatically on your next monthly check and tells you it happened.

People-search sites compile information from public records, such as property, voter, and court records, along with data purchased from other brokers, and publish searchable profiles that anyone can view.

Public people-search listings are the easiest source for anyone to look up your address, relatives, and phone number, which is why removing them has the biggest impact on your day-to-day exposure.

Search engines index public people-search pages the same way they index any other web page, so a listing on a broker site can also appear directly in search results for your name.
