CallerSmart opt-out: how to remove your phone number

Use CallerSmart's self-opt-out form at callersmart.com/data (linked as "Do Not Sell Personal Data" in its footer): enter the 10-digit phone number you want suppressed plus an email you control, then enter the 6-digit code CallerSmart emails you. It is free, needs no account, and the listing is typically suppressed within 0-3 days. If the page stalls on a "Verify you are human" check, retry in a normal browser without a VPN.

Step by step

Remove yourself from CallerSmart

6 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.

  1. 01

    Look up your number first

Search your phone number on callersmart.com to see what the listing shows: name, city, carrier, Trust Factor and any user comments. Note exactly how the number is displayed so you know what to verify afterward. You can do this without an account.

  2. 02

Open the Do Not Sell page

Go to callersmart.com/data, or scroll to the footer of the homepage and click "Do Not Sell Personal Data"; both lead to the same self-opt-out form. Check the address bar shows callersmart.com before typing anything — the opt-out is free and never asks for payment.

  3. 03

    Pass the bot check

When we loaded the page on October 5, 2026 it responded with a "Just a moment..." Turnstile check instead of the form. Expect a "Verify you are human" box. Use a normal browser with JavaScript enabled, allow cookies, and turn off your VPN if the box keeps looping.

  4. 04

    Enter your number and email

Type the 10-digit phone number you want suppressed and an email address you control, then submit. Use your current personal email — CallerSmart sends a 6-digit verification code to it, and the request is not processed until that code is entered.

  5. 05

    Enter the 6-digit code

Open the email from CallerSmart, copy the 6-digit code, and enter it on the site. Check spam and promotions folders if it does not arrive within a few minutes. The code is what ties the opt-out request to you, so it must go to an inbox you can open.

  6. 06

    Confirm the listing is gone

After the code is accepted, the request is filed. Re-search your number after a few days; typical suppression takes 0-3 days. If the listing still shows after a week, email feedback@callersmart.com with your number and the date you verified.

What the CallerSmart opt-out page looked like when we checked

Behind a human check

When we loaded callersmart.com on October 5, 2026, it showed a "verify you are human" check before the form. Use a normal browser with VPN off; the form usually appears after the check.

This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is CallerSmart?

CallerSmart is a reverse phone lookup service: you type in a phone number and it shows who it belongs to, where it is based, and what other users report about it. It runs as a free website and as an iPhone app, and it markets itself as a way to identify unknown callers, screen out spam and avoid scam calls.

Each number gets a profile built from public phone directories, carrier and line-type information, and user-contributed feedback. CallerSmart assigns a "Trust Factor" rating and lets users leave comments about numbers, which is useful for dodging robocalls — but it also means your name, city and number can be searched by anyone who has your digits.

You do not need an account, and you never had to use the app, to appear in it. The site also runs a self-serve "Do Not Sell Personal Data" opt-out for people who want their number's profile taken down.

What a CallerSmart listing can show

  • The name associated with the phone number
  • City and state tied to the number
  • Carrier and line type (mobile, landline or VoIP)
  • A Trust Factor rating for the number
  • User comments and spam or scam reports left by other users
  • Whether the number has been flagged for telemarketing or fraud

Who runs CallerSmart, and which sites one request covers

CallerSmart is operated by the company behind the CallerSmart reverse phone lookup app, which centers on its iOS app and callersmart.com; our research lists no parent company for it. It is a standalone service rather than one brand in a people-search network, so a CallerSmart opt-out covers CallerSmart only. The site's published privacy contact is feedback@callersmart.com. Similar reverse-lookup and caller ID services — Truecaller, Hiya and Whitepages among them — hold their own copies of your number and each needs a separate request.

What is the callersmart.com opt-out removal process?

The callersmart.com removal process is a multi-step form with an email verification code. You open the Do Not Sell page (callersmart.com/data, or the "Do Not Sell Personal Data" link in the homepage footer), pass a bot check, enter a valid 10-digit phone number and an email address, then type the 6-digit code CallerSmart emails you. When we loaded the page on October 5, 2026 it answered with a "Just a moment..." Turnstile challenge instead of the form, so expect a "Verify you are human" step and use a normal browser without a VPN. Nothing is filed until the code is entered.

How long it takes

CallerSmart does not publish a formal removal timeline; our research puts typical suppression at 0 to 3 days after the code is entered. Re-search your number in a private window after 3 days. If the listing still appears after a week, email feedback@callersmart.com with your number and the date you verified, and keep the code email as your record.

If it does not work

CallerSmart opt-out problems and fixes

The page only shows "Just a moment..." and never loads the form

That is the Turnstile bot check we hit when we loaded the page on October 5, 2026. Disable your VPN, switch out of private mode, allow JavaScript and cookies, and try Safari or Chrome. Persistent looping usually means a VPN or privacy extension is being flagged.

The 6-digit code email never arrived

Check spam, promotions and any filtering rules, then resubmit the form once. If it still does not come, try a different email address, or email feedback@callersmart.com and ask them to process the opt-out manually.

The form rejects my phone number

Enter exactly 10 digits with no country code, plus sign, dashes or parentheses. If your number has an extension or was recently ported between carriers, try the plain 10-digit version and wait a few minutes before resubmitting.

My number still shows a week after I verified

Email feedback@callersmart.com with the number, the date you entered the code, and a screenshot of the listing. Ask for confirmation once it is suppressed, and repeat the form if the reply stalls.

Some details disappeared but comments about my number remain

User-contributed feedback is separate from the directory listing and may be removed on its own schedule. Note the comment text and dates in your email to feedback@callersmart.com so they can remove those too.

My number came back months later

Phone directories re-import carrier, public-record and user-contributed feeds, so a number can be re-listed after a carrier change or a new data import. Search again every few months and repeat the request.

Subject: Opt-out and deletion request for my phone number listing

Hello, Under applicable state privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies, I request that CallerSmart stop displaying, selling and sharing my personal information, and remove my phone number from its directory and search results. Name: [Full name] Email address: [Email] Location: [City, State] Page where my number appears: [Listing URL] Please confirm by email once the opt-out has been processed. Thank you.

After you opt out of CallerSmart

Keep the email with the 6-digit code and any confirmation as your record. CallerSmart can re-list a number when fresh carrier or public-record feeds arrive, so re-check every two to three months. Your number likely also sits in Truecaller, Hiya, Whitepages and similar reverse-lookup services, each of which collects its own data and needs its own opt-out. That recurring re-check is what My Privacy Agent's Patrol plan automates.

Common questions

CallerSmart opt-out FAQ

Is CallerSmart legit, and is its opt-out safe to use?

Yes. CallerSmart is a real, long-running reverse phone lookup service with an established iPhone app, and the Do Not Sell form on callersmart.com is its official opt-out. It asks only for a phone number and an email address so it can verify and process the request, and it never charges. Skip any third-party site that wants payment to remove you from CallerSmart; the official route is free.

How do I remove my phone number from CallerSmart?

Open the Do Not Sell page at callersmart.com/data (or the "Do Not Sell Personal Data" footer link), enter your 10-digit number and an email you control, then submit the 6-digit code CallerSmart emails you. The listing is typically suppressed within 0-3 days.

How long does the CallerSmart opt-out take?

CallerSmart does not publish a formal timeline; our research puts typical suppression at 0 to 3 days after you enter the verification code. Re-search your number after a week, and email feedback@callersmart.com if it is still there.

Why does CallerSmart have my phone number?

CallerSmart builds number profiles from public phone directories, carrier and line-type data, and feedback its users contribute. Your number entered its system through those sources, not because you signed up.

Why is my CallerSmart listing back?

Directories like CallerSmart re-import carrier, public-record and user-contributed feeds, so a suppressed number can be re-added when a fresh feed includes it. Repeat the opt-out form and re-check every few months.

Does opting out of CallerSmart remove me from Truecaller or Hiya?

No. Each caller ID and reverse-lookup service keeps its own database. After CallerSmart, opt out of Truecaller, Hiya, Whitepages and any similar apps separately.

Can I opt out of CallerSmart by email?

Yes. Email feedback@callersmart.com with your name, phone number and the page where it appears, and cite your right to opt out and deletion under applicable state privacy law. Ask for written confirmation once it is done.

Is the CallerSmart opt-out free?

Yes. The self-opt-out form and the feedback@callersmart.com email route are both free. You never need a subscription, an account or an app install to remove your number.
