What the CyberBackgroundChecks opt-out page looked like when we checked

Behind a human check

When we loaded cyberbackgroundchecks.com on October 5, 2026, it showed a "verify you are human" check before the form. Use a normal browser with VPN off; the form usually appears after the check.

This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is CyberBackgroundChecks?

CyberBackgroundChecks is a free background-check search site that publishes detailed profiles containing addresses, phone numbers, age, public records, relatives, associates, criminal records, and other personal information. You do not have to sign up or have any account with CyberBackgroundChecks to be in it.

The site claims to compile its data from public records, government databases, property records, phonebook listings and other public sources. You can appear on CyberBackgroundChecks even if you have never interacted with the site. Because it is a aggregator of public records, the information tends to be accurate, which makes removal important for privacy.

What a CyberBackgroundChecks listing can show

  • Full name and any aliases or variations
  • Current and previous home addresses and property records
  • Age, date of birth, and aliases
  • Phone numbers (both landline and mobile)
  • Names of relatives and known associates
  • Public records including criminal history, civil judgments, and liens
  • Employment and education history

Who runs CyberBackgroundChecks, and which sites one request covers

CyberBackgroundChecks is operated as a standalone service. It is not part of a larger family with a shared suppression portal. CyberBackgroundChecks operates independently from other people-search and background-check sites like Spokeo, Nuwber, FastPeopleSearch, and TruthFinder, each of which has its own database and removal process.

What is the cyberbackgroundchecks.com opt-out removal process?

The cyberbackgroundchecks.com removal process uses a two-step email-verification flow. You enter your name, email address, confirm you own the email, and solve a CAPTCHA. CyberBackgroundChecks emails a verification link that is valid for 24 hours. You click the link, complete a detailed removal form matching the information on your record, and submit. When we checked the page on October 5, 2026 it required your name, email, a consent checkbox, and a CAPTCHA. Processing takes three days.

How long it takes

CyberBackgroundChecks states that removal requests typically complete within three days. In practice, allow three to five business days. The verification email link is valid for only 24 hours, so click it promptly. If your record does not disappear after five days, contact support to confirm the removal was processed.

If it does not work

CyberBackgroundChecks opt-out problems and fixes

The verification email from CyberBackgroundChecks never arrived

Check spam, promotions and other email folders. The link is valid for 24 hours, so if the email arrives late, use it promptly. Resubmit from cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal and wait for a second email.

The CAPTCHA will not complete or shows an error

Reload the page. If the CAPTCHA continues to fail, try a different browser or disable VPN and ad blockers temporarily. Ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.

The verification link expired before I could click it

The link is valid for 24 hours. If 24 hours have passed, return to cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal and submit the removal request again to receive a new link.

My record is still visible after 5 days

CyberBackgroundChecks says processing takes up to three days, but sometimes it takes longer. Wait until day seven and re-check. If your record is still live, there may have been an issue with the removal form. Contact CyberBackgroundChecks support with your removal confirmation details.

The removal form asked for information I do not have

Enter only the information you have or can see on the actual CyberBackgroundChecks profile. Do not guess or fabricate details. Inaccurate information can cause the removal to fail.

My record came back after it was removed

CyberBackgroundChecks refreshes its data from public records, which can recreate a profile, especially after new public records are added (job change, address change, property record updates). Repeat the removal process. Keep confirmation emails from each removal request.

After you opt out of CyberBackgroundChecks

Save all confirmation emails and the confirmation page screenshot from your removal request. CyberBackgroundChecks can re-list you from new public records or data updates, so you may need to repeat the removal process in the future. Re-check cyberbackgroundchecks.com every 60 to 90 days; if your record reappears, repeat the removal steps. Note that CyberBackgroundChecks is a separate service from Spokeo, Nuwber, FastPeopleSearch, TruthFinder and other background-check sites—each site has its own database and needs its own removal request.

Realistic scope

This guide explains how to request the action CyberBackgroundChecks publishes for its own site. Reading the guide or sending a request does not establish completed removal. Other sites and original public records are separate; recheck the specific cyberbackgroundchecks.com page after the site's response and if the information appears again.

Common questions

CyberBackgroundChecks opt-out FAQ

Is CyberBackgroundChecks legitimate and is its opt-out safe?

Yes. CyberBackgroundChecks is a real background-check and people-search site. Its removal form is the official opt-out. The form asks for your name, email and a CAPTCHA to verify you are human—it does not ask for payment, passwords, or sensitive personal ID. Do not use third-party sites offering to remove you from CyberBackgroundChecks for a fee; the official removal is free.

How do I remove myself from CyberBackgroundChecks?

Go to cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal, enter your name and email, check the consent box, complete a CAPTCHA, and submit. CyberBackgroundChecks emails a verification link. Click the link, fill out the removal form, and submit. Allow three days for processing.

Is CyberBackgroundChecks opt-out free?

Yes. The removal form and process are completely free. You never need to pay to remove yourself from CyberBackgroundChecks.

How long does it take for CyberBackgroundChecks to remove my record?

CyberBackgroundChecks says three days. In practice, allow three to five business days. The verification email link is valid for 24 hours, so click it promptly. Re-check after five days.

What if I do not have access to the email address on my CyberBackgroundChecks record?

Use an email you control. CyberBackgroundChecks will use that address to verify you own the record. If the email verification fails, you may need to contact CyberBackgroundChecks support directly.

Does removing me from CyberBackgroundChecks also remove me from other background-check sites?

No. CyberBackgroundChecks is a separate company. Spokeo, Nuwber, FastPeopleSearch, TruthFinder, BeenVerified and other sites have independent databases and need separate removal requests.

Why does the form ask for accurate information and match my record?

CyberBackgroundChecks wants to ensure it is removing the correct record, not someone else's. Accurate, matching information ensures the right profile is deleted and prevents accidental removal of someone else's data.

What if the verification link expires or does not work?

The link is valid for 24 hours. If it expires, go back to cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal and submit your removal request again to receive a new link. If the new link also does not work, your browser may be blocking something; try a different browser or disabling extensions.

My record reappeared on CyberBackgroundChecks after I removed it. Why?

CyberBackgroundChecks pulls data from public records, government databases and other sources. New public records (property sales, public court filings, etc.) can recreate a profile. Re-check every 60 to 90 days and repeat the removal as needed.

Review and change history

A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.

  1. · Guide content reviewed against the published sources. This is the recorded review baseline; no earlier editorial change log is available.

  2. · Historical route observation: bot challenge (HTTP 403). This describes only the page observed on that date; later steps and today's availability were not established by that observation.
