North Data opt-out: request blocking when its criteria fit

North Data is a European company-information search service that also displays people named in public business publications. Its Help Center says it blocks entries on request only in listed circumstances, including qualifying outdated roles or a special need for protection. Email info@northdata.com with the exact North Data profile URL, the applicable reason and supporting explanation, and your authority to request the change. North Data says an email address is usually sufficient for legitimacy, while reserving the right to refuse incomplete or ineligible requests. A request is not proof of acceptance or blocking.

7 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.

  1. 01

Open the exact North Data entry and record its URL

Use North Data's public search to locate the company or person entry that concerns you. Check that it is the North Data profile rather than the original register or another site, and copy the complete URL privately. The Help Center specifically requests the web address or addresses involved. Do not send a name-only request if you can identify the exact entry.

  2. 02

Decide whether the issue is a correction or a blocking request

For an inaccurate company name, address or corporate purpose sourced from a trade register, North Data says the entry must first be corrected in the relevant Commercial Register, after which its data updates automatically. For other types of inaccurate or incomplete information, its Help Center says to contact info@northdata.com. For personal entries, North Data describes blocking when an obsolete-role condition or a special need for protection applies.

  3. 03

Check the published eligibility conditions before writing

North Data lists former managing directors, board members and equivalent roles after five years; liquidators after five years; authorized representatives after one year; registered merchants after one year from expiry of the registry entry; and legal representatives of registered associations after leaving the role. It also accepts a request explaining a special need for protection or providing suitable evidence. These are North Data's published criteria, not a finding that a particular person's facts qualify.

  4. 04

    Prepare a narrow written request

Email info@northdata.com and include the exact profile URL, which blocking condition you rely on, a concise explanation of how it applies, and your authorization to make the request. North Data says the applicant's email address is sufficient for legitimacy in most cases; otherwise, it may ask for a power of attorney. For a French record, it specifically requests the SIREN number. Do not attach extra identity documents unless North Data explains why they are needed.

  5. 05

Keep French register restrictions separate where relevant

For French SIRENE data, North Data directs people to request a dissemination restriction through the official Sirene service first, then tell North Data after the status becomes “diffusion partielle.” The Help Center says some essential information remains public under that status. Follow the official French service's own current steps; a North Data email alone does not change the government source record.

  6. 06

Review and personally approve any email before sending

Check each URL, reason and attachment against the request you intend to make. An agent may draft a message, but must stop for your explicit approval before transmitting it. No request was sent in this review. Save the sent copy and any response separately so a prepared draft or email delivery is not mistaken for North Data's decision.

  7. 07

Track the response and recheck the same North Data page

North Data's reviewed blocking page does not state a processing deadline. Ask for an expected timeframe and the exact scope of any action. Revisit the same profile URL after North Data responds. If the entry is unavailable or blocked from your connection, record that you could not check rather than treating it as proof of masking. Separately check the official source if the underlying registry record was also changed.

What is North Data GmbH?

North Data says its search service compiles public information from official sources and company disclosures, including registers, publications and company filings. Its homepage offers company and person searches, but the Help Center explains that information about a person generally comes from public publications such as business registers. This is a business-information service, not a conventional residential people-search broker.

First identify the actual issue. If a trade-register name, address or purpose is wrong, North Data says the underlying register entry must be changed through the applicable official process; it then updates automatically after registration. If your concern is an eligible North Data profile entry, ask North Data to block the specific URL under its published criteria. If a data point is still visible in a public source, removing or masking the North Data display does not change that source record.

What a North Data GmbH listing can show

  • Company profiles, history, financial indicators, events and associated people drawn from public publications
  • Personal details in publications, which North Data says are usually date of birth and place of residence
  • The city attached to a person may reflect the latest public register or publication and a specific role, not necessarily a current home address
  • Public records and North Data's separate display are distinct; the guide review did not search an individual profile

Who runs North Data GmbH, and which sites one request covers

North Data GmbH operates northdata.com and publishes the blocking criteria in its English Help Center. Its support article says support is reached by email at info@northdata.com, not by phone. Use the northdata.com website and help.northdata.com support pages to confirm the route. The public search homepage and the Help Center article describe an information service based on public sources; this review did not assess a particular customer export, premium account, or source register.

What is the northdata.com opt-out removal process?

North Data calls the route a blocking request, not an unconditional deletion form. Its Help Center asks you to write to info@northdata.com with the affected profile URL or URLs, a reason showing which published blocking condition applies, and the requester’s authorization. It says the requester’s email address is sufficient for legitimacy in most cases or a power of attorney can be presented. North Data may refuse requests that are incomplete, unsupported, or outweighed by a particular public interest. No email was sent and no request outcome was tested.

How long it takes

The reviewed North Data blocking article gives no processing timeframe. Its Help Center says postal requests generally take longer and recommends email for faster handling. Ask North Data for the expected window for your case; do not infer acceptance or a completion date from sending an email.

If it does not work

North Data GmbH opt-out problems and fixes

My role ended, but North Data has not blocked the entry

Compare the role and end date with the specific period North Data publishes for that role type, and verify whether you still act as a legal representative in another company in its network. The Help Center also describes a separate special-need-for-protection basis that requires an explanation or suitable evidence. Ask North Data which condition is missing; do not describe the request as automatically eligible.

The North Data record is wrong

For a company name, address or corporate-purpose field sourced from a trade register, North Data says the source register must first be changed through the applicable process; its Help Center specifically mentions a notary for the Commercial Register. Once the change is registered, North Data says the information updates automatically. For other corrections, contact info@northdata.com and identify the exact field and profile URL.

My home city or address appears beside a role

North Data says a person's displayed city is based on the latest public register or publication where that person appears with an address, tied to a role, and may not represent current residence. Its automatic-masking article lists former addresses no longer used as business addresses among details masked from the public website. If an address remains visible, send the exact URL and ask whether the published masking or blocking criteria apply.

A birth detail or old entry remains visible

North Data says birth details are automatically blocked on its public website, while acknowledging that individual data may remain visible and inviting a blocking request in that case. Send the exact URL and identify the detail. The article says public-interest considerations can affect masking, so request a review without assuming the result.

I have not received a response

The reviewed blocking article gives no turnaround estimate. North Data says support is reachable by email and recommends email over post for faster handling. Follow up to info@northdata.com with the sent date, profile URL and request scope. Do not send duplicate copies with expanded personal data unless requested.

North Data says public-register rules prevent blocking

The Help Center says disclosure of business-register data generally takes precedence, while individual access restrictions may be justified. Ask which source, role or criterion controls the specific entry. Where the underlying register itself is the concern, consult that register's official correction or restriction procedure; a North Data display change does not rewrite a public register.

The entry is still available to a North Data customer

North Data states some information hidden on its public website, including date of birth, remains accessible to Premium Services and Data Services customers. Ask the provider which products and recipients any response covers. Do not interpret masking on the public page as proof that every customer copy has been deleted.

After you opt out of North Data GmbH

Keep the exact profile URL, request date, reason, supporting response and any later observation together. Distinguish North Data's public display from the underlying company register and from North Data's customer products. Its published materials describe automatic masking for certain fields and narrower eligibility for blocking other entries; they do not promise universal removal. Recheck the same page after the provider's response, and note an inaccessible page as an unknown result.

Realistic scope

This guide explains how to request the action North Data GmbH publishes for its own site. Reading the guide or sending a request does not establish completed removal. Other sites and original public records are separate; recheck the specific northdata.com page after the site's response and if the information appears again.

Common questions

North Data GmbH opt-out FAQ

Does North Data have an official process to block personal entries?

Yes. North Data's English Help Center publishes eligibility criteria and says written blocking requests should ideally be emailed to info@northdata.com with the affected URL, a reason, and the requester's authorization. That establishes a published route, not eligibility or the outcome of an individual request. This review read the Help Center pages but did not contact North Data or search a person.

Can I ask North Data to remove every mention of my name?

North Data's Help Center describes blocking under specific conditions rather than unconditional removal. It lists time-based conditions for certain former business roles and a special need for protection explained in the request or supported with suitable evidence. Its published materials also say business-register disclosure generally takes precedence. Ask about the exact entry and basis that applies.

What must a North Data blocking request include?

North Data asks for the exact URL or URLs, the reason and applicable blocking condition, and the applicant's authorization. It says an applicant email address is sufficient for legitimacy in most cases, otherwise a power of attorney may be presented. For France, the article specifically requests the SIREN number.

How long does North Data take to block an entry?

The reviewed blocking article does not provide a timeline. North Data says postal requests generally take longer and recommends email. Ask for the expected timeframe and keep the reply; sending the request is not proof that it has been accepted or acted on.

How do I correct a company address that is wrong on North Data?

North Data says name, address and corporate-purpose information is obtained directly from the Trade Register. It says the underlying Commercial Register entry must be changed through the appropriate process and then updates automatically after registration. For other data, its Help Center directs people to info@northdata.com.

Can North Data hide a business role or address?

North Data says certain categories are automatically masked on the public website, including former addresses no longer used as business addresses and specified old roles. For other entries, its blocking article lists role-based time periods or a special need for protection. It may consider public interest, so a request does not establish an outcome.

Does a North Data block change the official register?

No. North Data displays information from public sources. Its own Help Center says trade-register name, address and purpose corrections must first be made in the register. Any North Data display action is separate from changing the underlying official publication.

Does public-page masking mean North Data customers cannot see the data?

North Data says date of birth is hidden on the public part of its website but accessible to Premium Services and Data Services customers. Ask what any response covers; public masking does not by itself establish deletion from customer products.

Review and change history

A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.

  1. · Reviewed North Data's public search homepage and English Help Center articles on data sources, data blocking, automatic masking, personal-data processing, business-register privacy, correction of outdated data, and contact on October 22, 2026. No person's profile was searched, no personal information was sent, and no request, acceptance, or masking outcome was verified. This is the recorded review baseline; no earlier editorial change log is available.

  2. · Added an eligibility-based North Data blocking guide from its Help Center: exact affected URLs, listed role-age or special-protection grounds, applicant authorization and France's SIREN detail. Distinguished masked public-page fields from customer products and source-register corrections; the reviewed article gives no processing SLA. No person was searched and no request was sent.
