PeekYou opt-out: status and next steps
The last documented observation, by September 16, 2026, found an Atlas "Domain Update" notice at peekyou.com and no opt-out form. The domain could not be rechecked for this update, so its current status is unconfirmed. If a Google result points to a page that no longer exists or has significantly changed, Google’s Refresh Outdated Content tool may update the search result; it does not remove content from the website.

What happened to PeekYou
PeekYou was a people-search engine, founded in 2006, that combined social media accounts, usernames and public records into profiles. In April 2025, Atlas Data Privacy Corp. and three individual plaintiffs sued PeekYou LLC in New Jersey under Daniel's Law, asserting claims assigned by roughly 21,700 judges, prosecutors, police officers and family members.
An observation by September 16, 2026 recorded a notice on peekyou.com saying the case was resolved by a settlement agreement and that the domain was controlled by Atlas. Unlike the historical Radaris reports, this was described as a settlement rather than a default judgment, and the settlement terms have not been published. Archived copies show PeekYou operating as a search site in June 2026. Current domain status has not been rechecked.

Clear stale PeekYou results from Google
Use Google’s Refresh Outdated Content tool only when the exact result URL no longer exists or its content has significantly changed. Submit that URL and check request status. The tool updates Google’s result; it does not remove a page from the web, and it is not appropriate while the same page remains available.

Check where the same details still appear
PeekYou mostly repackaged social profiles and public records that other sites also publish. Search your name on the large people-search sites and work through their opt-outs.

Use your state's tools
California residents can use the DROP platform (privacy.ca.gov/data-brokers) to reach every registered broker at once. New Jersey covered persons can use the Daniel's Law portal at danielslaw.nj.gov.

Review and change history
A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.
· Historical retired-site status explanation reviewed against the published sources. This is the recorded review baseline; no earlier editorial change log is available.
· Preserved the September 16 historical domain observation and October 5 review baseline while labeling current status unconfirmed because the official domain could not be rechecked. Narrowed Google stale-result guidance to missing or significantly changed pages and clarified it only updates Google results. No new ownership claim, court claim or current status claim was made.
Read current independent route evidence. That record reports its own scope, date, expiry and any gaps; this history does not renew verification.
