PeopleFinder opt-out: how to remove your profile and suppress your data

Go to suppression.peopleconnect.us/login, enter an email address you control and check the consent box. PeopleConnect emails a verification link. Open the link, search for yourself by name and state, select the records that are yours, and submit the suppression. One request removes you from PeopleFinder and up to 25 other PeopleConnect-owned sites including ZabaSearch, TruthFinder, Intelius and InstantCheckmate.

Step by step

Remove yourself from PeopleFinder

9 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.

  1. 01

Go to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center

Open suppression.peopleconnect.us/login. This is the shared suppression portal for PeopleFinder, Intelius, ZabaSearch, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, US Search and other PeopleConnect brands. You do not log in with a PeopleFinder account; you supply an email address instead.

  2. 02

Enter your email and agree to terms

In the 'Email Address' field, type an email you control. Check the box that says you agree to the terms of use and privacy policy and consent to the suppression process. No CAPTCHA is required on this step.

  3. 03

Submit and wait for the verification email

Click 'Continue'. PeopleConnect sends a verification link to your email. Check spam and promotions folders. The link is valid for a limited time; click it within a few hours.

  4. 04

    Open the verification link

Open the email from PeopleConnect and click the verification link. The link brings you back to the suppression portal and confirms that you own the email address.

  5. 05

    Search for your records

After verifying your email, the portal shows a search interface. Enter your first name, last name, and the state where you have lived. PeopleConnect shows you all records it has that match.

  6. 06

Select the records that are you

Review the list. Select the checkboxes next to all records that are actually you. If you have lived in multiple states or have name variations, make sure you select all matching records, not just one.

  7. 07

    Submit the suppression

Click the 'Suppress' or 'Confirm Suppression' button. The portal displays a confirmation page and sends a confirmation email to your address.

  8. 08

    Keep the confirmation

Save the confirmation email and screenshot of the confirmation page. It serves as proof of your suppression request. The suppression typically takes 24 to 72 hours to take effect across all PeopleConnect sites.

  9. 09

    Re-check PeopleFinder and related sites

After three days, search PeopleFinder, ZabaSearch and Intelius for your name to confirm the records are gone. If any records remain, log back into the suppression center and select them for suppression.

What the PeopleFinder opt-out page looked like when we checked

Opt-out page up

We loaded the opt-out page on suppression.peopleconnect.us on October 5, 2026 and it was up. The first screen asked for: Email Address, I agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and consent .

This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is PeopleFinder?

PeopleFinder is a free people-search website operated by PeopleConnect Inc, which owns over two dozen people-search and background-check sites including ZabaSearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, and US Search. All of these sites share the same data pool and suppression system.

You do not have to sign up to be on PeopleFinder. The site compiles profiles from public records, property records, phonebooks, and data purchased or exchanged with other brokers. Each profile typically shows your address, phone numbers, age, relatives, aliases, and sometimes employment or financial information. Because all PeopleConnect sites pull from the same central database, suppressing your record at PeopleConnect removes you from all of its brands at once.

What a PeopleFinder listing can show

  • Full name and any aliases or variations
  • Current and past residential addresses
  • Estimated age or date of birth
  • Landline and mobile phone numbers
  • Names of relatives and known associates
  • Education, employment history
  • Links to social media profiles

Who runs PeopleFinder, and which sites one request covers

PeopleFinder is owned and operated by PeopleConnect Inc., a US company. One suppression request at the PeopleConnect Suppression Center removes you from PeopleFinder and 25 other related sites including ZabaSearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, US Search, Addresses.com, PublicRecords.com, OnlineSearches.com, and other white-label people-search brands.

Same request also covers: onlinesearches.com, publicrecords.com, zabasearch.com, peopleconnect.us

What is the peoplefinder.com opt-out removal process?

The peoplefinder.com removal process uses the centralized PeopleConnect Suppression Center at suppression.peopleconnect.us/login. You enter your email and consent, receive a verification link by email, log back in to search for your records by name, select the ones that are you, and submit the suppression. When we checked the page on October 5, 2026 it showed email and consent fields with no CAPTCHA on the login step. The search and record selection happen in the portal after you verify your email.

How long it takes

PeopleConnect says most suppressions are processed within 72 hours. In practice, allow three to five days for records to disappear from PeopleFinder and related sites. Re-check after three days; if suppressed records are still showing after a week, email support@mailer.intelius.com with your suppression confirmation.

If it does not work

PeopleFinder opt-out problems and fixes

The verification email from PeopleConnect never arrived

Check spam and promotions folders. Wait at least 10 minutes before resubmitting. If the second attempt also fails, email support@mailer.intelius.com with your name and ask them to send the verification link manually.

I searched for my records but nothing shows up

PeopleConnect may have incomplete or no records under your exact name. Try searching with a middle initial, a nickname, or only your last name and state. If nothing appears after several searches, there may be no PeopleConnect records to suppress. If you are not sure, email support@mailer.intelius.com to confirm.

Multiple records showed up and I am not sure which ones are me

Look for records that match your current address or employment. If you are not sure, you can suppress all records that seem plausible; PeopleConnect will not suppress a record it believes belongs to someone else. You can also email support@mailer.intelius.com with details.

The suppression went through but my record is still visible on PeopleFinder

Suppressions can take 3 to 5 days to propagate. Wait 72 hours and re-check. If the record is still live after a week, the suppression may not have included that particular record. Log back into the portal, search again, and suppress any records you missed.

My record came back after I suppressed it

PeopleConnect ingests new data regularly and can re-list you from updated public records. Keep your suppression confirmation email and repeat the suppression process. You can resubmit a suppression request as needed.

I do not remember which email I used to suppress my records

If you have the original suppression confirmation email, it will show the email used. If you cannot find it, go to suppression.peopleconnect.us/login, enter an email you do remember using, and PeopleConnect can look up your prior suppression. If that does not work, email support@mailer.intelius.com.

Subject: Data suppression request for my PeopleConnect and PeopleFinder records

Hello, I am requesting suppression of all my personal information from PeopleConnect, Inc. and its affiliated sites including PeopleFinder, ZabaSearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, US Search, Addresses.com, PublicRecords.com, and any other sites operated by PeopleConnect, under applicable state privacy laws including the CCPA. Name: [Full name] Email address: [Email] Current Address: [City, State] I have submitted a suppression request through the official PeopleConnect Suppression Center at suppression.peopleconnect.us/login. If you have not received it or if there is any issue with the online submission, please process this suppression manually. Please confirm by email when the suppression has been completed and my records have been removed from all PeopleConnect sites. Thank you.

After you opt out of PeopleFinder

Keep your PeopleConnect suppression confirmation email—it is your record of the request. One PeopleConnect suppression removes you from PeopleFinder, ZabaSearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, US Search, Addresses.com and over 20 other PeopleConnect-owned brands. But many other people-search sites are independent: Spokeo, BeenVerified, FastPeopleSearch, WhitePages, and others operate separate databases and need their own removal requests. Re-check PeopleFinder every two to three months; new public records can recreate a profile.

Realistic scope

This guide explains how to request the action PeopleFinder publishes for its own site. Reading the guide or sending a request does not establish completed removal. Other sites and original public records are separate; recheck the specific peoplefinder.com page after the site's response and if the information appears again.

Common questions

PeopleFinder opt-out FAQ

Is PeopleFinder legitimate and is its opt-out safe to use?

Yes. PeopleFinder is a real, widely used people-search site. The PeopleConnect Suppression Center is the official opt-out portal for PeopleFinder and 25 other legitimate people-search and background-check brands. It asks only for an email address and consent—never for a password, payment, or Social Security number. Do not use third-party sites that charge money to remove you from PeopleFinder; the official suppression is free.

How do I remove myself from PeopleFinder?

Go to suppression.peopleconnect.us/login, enter your email, check the consent box, click the verification link in the email PeopleConnect sends, search for yourself by name and state, select your records, and click suppress. The entire process takes about 10 minutes and removes you from PeopleFinder plus 25 other PeopleConnect sites.

Is PeopleFinder opt-out free?

Yes. The PeopleConnect Suppression Center is free. You never need to pay to remove yourself from PeopleFinder or any other PeopleConnect site.

Does one suppression remove me from all PeopleConnect sites?

Yes. One suppression request at the PeopleConnect Suppression Center removes you from PeopleFinder, ZabaSearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, US Search, Addresses.com, PublicRecords.com and other PeopleConnect brands—all at once.

How long does it take for PeopleFinder to remove my record?

PeopleConnect says 72 hours. Most users see records disappear within 3 to 5 days. Re-check after 72 hours; if your record is still live after a week, log back into the suppression portal and verify it was included in your suppression request.

Does removing me from PeopleFinder also remove me from Spokeo or BeenVerified?

No. PeopleFinder is part of the PeopleConnect family. Spokeo, BeenVerified, FastPeopleSearch and other sites are separate companies with separate databases and removal processes. You must submit removal requests for each one.

What if the verification email never arrives?

Check spam and promotions folders. Wait a few minutes and resubmit your email. If the second attempt fails, email support@mailer.intelius.com with your name and ask for help.

I searched the PeopleConnect portal and found no records under my name. Does that mean I am already removed?

Possibly. If the portal finds no records for you, PeopleConnect may have no data on you, or your previous suppression request may have cleared all records. You can re-check PeopleFinder's public site (peoplefinder.com) to confirm. If no profile shows up there, you are likely already removed.

My PeopleFinder record came back after I suppressed it. What do I do?

PeopleConnect ingests new data regularly and can re-list you from updated public records or data exchanges. Repeat the suppression process: log into the suppression portal, search for your records again, select them, and suppress. Keep your prior suppression confirmation emails as a record of your requests.

Who runs PeopleFinder, and which sites one request covers

Review and change history

A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.

  1. · Guide content reviewed against the published sources. This is the recorded review baseline; no earlier editorial change log is available.

  2. · Historical route observation: reachable (HTTP 200). This describes only the page observed on that date; later steps and today's availability were not established by that observation.

Read current independent route evidence. That record reports its own scope, date, expiry and any gaps; this history does not renew verification.
