Ownerly opt-out: how to remove your information from Ownerly

Ownerly does not run its own opt-out form. Its "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link sends you to the shared BeenVerified opt-out portal at beenverified.com, where you search for your record, pick it, enter an email address, and click a verification link. Expect a Cloudflare "Verify you are human" check first. The process is free and typically clears within about 24 hours once verified. If the portal fails, email privacy@ownerly.com.

Ownerly is operated by BeenVerified; opt-outs are handled at beenverified.com (https://www.beenverified.com/svc/optout/search/comprehensive_optouts).

Step by step

Remove yourself from Ownerly

7 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.

  1. 01

    Start from Ownerly's own site

On ownerly.com, scroll to the footer and click "Do Not Sell My Personal Information". It redirects to the shared BeenVerified opt-out portal at beenverified.com/svc/optout/search/comprehensive_optouts. You can go straight to that address too. Check the URL bar before typing anything; the real form never asks for payment or a subscription.

  2. 02

    Get past the human-verification check

When we loaded the portal on October 5, 2026 it showed a Cloudflare "Just a moment..." screen that asks you to verify you are human before the form appears. Use a normal browser window, turn off your VPN, and disable ad blockers or script blockers for beenverified.com. Automation-controlled browsers often get stuck on this check while a regular browser passes in seconds.

  3. 03

    Search for your record

Enter your first name, last name and city or state, then run the search. If nothing comes up, try the city or state you lived in when the property record was created, plus any former names or common misspellings. Property data trails old addresses, so a past location often surfaces a record your current one does not.

  4. 04

Pick the record that is you

The results list names, ages and locations. Click "That's the one" on the entry that matches you. If several entries match — old addresses, relatives with the same name — you will need to repeat the request for each one; the portal has no bulk option and only suppresses the exact record you confirm.

  5. 05

Enter your email and complete the CAPTCHA

Type an email address you control into the form and complete the CAPTCHA. This address is where the verification link is sent, and the confirmation you receive there is your only receipt, so use a personal inbox you can check. Then submit the request.

  6. 06

    Click the verification link

Open the email from BeenVerified and click the verification link. Nothing is filed until you do. Check spam and promotions folders; if nothing arrives within a few hours, resubmit once and watch the inbox, since some filters strip the message.

  7. 07

    Confirm the record is gone

Re-run the same name and city/state search on the portal after a day or two; requests in this family are typically processed within about 24 hours of verification. Also search your address on ownerly.com itself. If the record still shows, email privacy@ownerly.com with your name, location and the record details and ask them to complete the suppression.

What the Ownerly opt-out page looked like when we checked

Behind a human check

When we loaded beenverified.com on October 5, 2026, it showed a "verify you are human" check before the form. Use a normal browser with VPN off; the form usually appears after the check.

This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is Ownerly?

Ownerly is a property-data and home-value site. You type in an address and get value estimates, ownership history, sale prices and property records; it also sells access to deeper background reports on property owners. You do not have to have signed up for anything to appear in it: Ownerly's privacy policy says its service data comes from third-party data providers drawing on public records, which is why a home purchase you made years ago can surface your name, address and price paid.

Ownerly is provided by The Lifetime Value Co. LLC acting through Ownerly, LLC, the same company behind the BeenVerified family of people-search sites. That matters for removal because Ownerly has no standalone suppression form: its opt-out runs entirely through the shared BeenVerified portal.

What a Ownerly listing can show

  • Full names of property owners and co-owners
  • Current and past property addresses
  • Home value estimates and ownership history
  • Purchase prices and transaction dates
  • Phone numbers and email addresses tied to a record
  • Possible relatives and associates
  • Court, license and vehicle records in background reports

Who runs Ownerly, and which sites one request covers

Ownerly is provided by The Lifetime Value Co. LLC acting through Ownerly, LLC, the New York-based company behind BeenVerified, PeopleLooker, NeighborWho, Bumper and NumberGuru, according to Ownerly's privacy policy and the parent's brand page. Its privacy contact for data-rights requests is privacy@ownerly.com. Ownerly has no standalone opt-out form; removals run through the shared BeenVerified suppression portal, which is why the process below happens on beenverified.com rather than ownerly.com. Sibling sites in the same family include beenverified.com, neighborwho.com and freephonetracer.com, and your record often appears on several of them at once.

What is the ownerly.com opt-out removal process?

Ownerly's opt-out lives on beenverified.com, not ownerly.com: Ownerly's "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" footer link redirects to the shared BeenVerified comprehensive opt-out portal. There you enter your name and city or state, pick your record from the results ("That's the one"), enter an email address, and complete a CAPTCHA; a verification email then confirms the request. When we loaded the portal on October 5, 2026 it sat behind a Cloudflare "Just a moment..." human-verification check that never cleared in an automation-controlled browser, so use a normal browser without a VPN.

How long it takes

Requests through the BeenVerified portal are typically processed within about 24 hours of clicking the verification link. Verify it worked by re-running the same name plus city/state search on the portal after a day or two, and by searching your address on ownerly.com itself. Keep the confirmation email. If the record is still visible after several days, follow up at privacy@ownerly.com with the date you verified.

If it does not work

Ownerly opt-out problems and fixes

The portal is stuck on "Just a moment..."

That is the Cloudflare human-verification check we hit when we loaded the portal on October 5, 2026. Use a regular browser window, disable VPN and privacy extensions for beenverified.com, allow cookies, and reload. It normally clears in a few seconds once it can run normally.

My record does not come up in the search

Try previous cities or states, maiden or former names, and common misspellings. Property data follows old addresses, so search where you lived when you bought or sold. If it truly is absent, your record may exist only in Ownerly's own property database — email privacy@ownerly.com and ask them to suppress it.

Several records look like me

Submit one request per record. Each address or name variation can be a separate listing, and the portal only suppresses the exact record you confirm. Repeat the search-pick-verify cycle for every match you want removed.

The verification email never arrived

Check spam, promotions and any inbox rules, then resubmit once. If your first attempt used a plus-alias address, try a plain address instead. Still nothing after a day? Email privacy@ownerly.com and ask them to process the suppression manually.

My information is back on Ownerly after I opted out

People-search sites re-collect from public records and fresh data feeds, so listings can reappear after a move or property sale. Repeat the opt-out, and clear your record on the sibling sites — BeenVerified, NeighborWho, FreePhoneTracer, PeopleLooker, PeopleSmart, Bumper and NumberGuru — since they draw on the same data pool.

I would rather not use the BeenVerified portal

Email privacy@ownerly.com from an address you control. State that you opt out and request deletion of your publicly available personal information under applicable state privacy law, and include your full name and city and state. Ask for written confirmation once it is done.

Send this to privacy@ownerly.com

Subject: Opt-out and deletion request for my Ownerly record

Hello, Under applicable state privacy laws, including the CCPA where it applies, I request that you opt out of the sale and sharing of my publicly available personal information and delete my record from Ownerly and its associated databases. Name: [Full name] Email: [Email] Location: [City, State] Record or listing URL (if available): [Listing URL] Please confirm by email once my record has been suppressed. Thank you.

After you opt out of Ownerly

Save the verification and confirmation emails — they are your proof the suppression was requested. Ownerly's parent company keeps buying fresh public-record data, so a record can resurface months later, especially after a move or property sale. Re-check the portal and ownerly.com every two to three months, and clear the sibling sites in the same family while you are at it. That recurring re-check is the part My Privacy Agent's Patrol plan automates.

Common questions

Ownerly opt-out FAQ

Is Ownerly legit, and is its opt-out safe to use?

Yes. Ownerly is a real property-data service run by The Lifetime Value Co., the company behind BeenVerified, and its reports draw on public property records and third-party data providers. The opt-out portal is legitimate and free; it asks for an email address only to send the verification link. Do not pay a third-party site to remove you from Ownerly — use the official portal or privacy@ownerly.com.

How do I remove my information from Ownerly?

Use the shared BeenVerified opt-out portal that Ownerly's "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" footer link points to: search your name and city or state, pick your record, enter an email address, complete the CAPTCHA, and click the verification link in the email. It is free. If the portal does not work, email privacy@ownerly.com.

Why does Ownerly send me to BeenVerified to opt out?

Ownerly and BeenVerified are brands of the same parent company, The Lifetime Value Co., and suppression requests for the family run through one shared portal on beenverified.com. There is no separate ownerly.com opt-out form, so do not be surprised when the link leaves Ownerly's site.

How long does the Ownerly opt-out take?

Requests in the BeenVerified family are typically processed within about 24 hours of clicking the verification link. Confirm it worked by re-searching the portal after a day or two and by searching your address on ownerly.com. If nothing changed after several days, follow up at privacy@ownerly.com.

Why is my information back on Ownerly after I opted out?

Ownerly's data comes from public records and third-party providers that keep refreshing. A new deed, mortgage or address can recreate your record. Repeat the opt-out when that happens, and suppress your record on the sibling sites too, since they share the same data sources.

Does opting out of Ownerly remove me from BeenVerified too?

Not automatically. The portal only suppresses the exact records you confirm during the flow, and each family site can hold a separate copy of your information. After finishing Ownerly, search the same portal for your records tied to beenverified.com, neighborwho.com and the other sibling sites.

Can I opt out of Ownerly by email instead of the form?

Yes. Email privacy@ownerly.com from an address you control, state that you opt out and request deletion of your publicly available personal information under applicable state privacy law, and include your full name and city and state. The form is faster, but the email route is a valid fallback.

Who runs Ownerly, and which sites one request covers

Ownerly (ownerly.com) is operated by BeenVerified, and removal requests are processed at beenverified.com. It is listed as a people search site in our Extended coverage tier.
