BeenVerified opt-out guide

How to remove yourself from BeenVerified (2026 opt-out guide)

Guide content reviewed 2026-10-05

Reading current independent checks… See route evidence

The October 5, 2026 review recorded a search, listing-selection and email-confirmation flow at beenverified.com/svc/optout/search, plus a "Verify you are human" challenge. The current page and request fields could not be rechecked on October 22. Follow the site's current instructions; if the page blocks you, stop rather than changing browser security. The directory's old 24-to-72-hour estimate is not a current deadline, and a BeenVerified request's scope on other Lifetime Value brands is unconfirmed.

Work through this with your agent

Give your agent the published steps, sources and read-only tools. It should check the current official process and ask before taking action.

Copies public guidance only. You still approve any request your agent submits.

Check if you are listed on BeenVerified

BeenVerified does not expose a stable public search URL we can prefill, so find your listing directly: open beenverified.com, search your full name plus your state (and previous states), and copy the URL of the record that is you. The opt-out form usually asks for that URL or the same name and location.

What BeenVerified typically shows

  • Current and past addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Relatives and associates
  • Court and property records
  • Social media profiles

An exposure report can help organize candidate listings before you work through the site's official steps.

Step by step

Remove yourself from BeenVerified

8 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.

  1. 01

Gather your name variants and locations

Keep track of the name and location for the listing you want to identify. The October 5 review recorded searching by name and location; the current search fields were not rechecked.

  2. 02

    Review the current official page

The October 5 review recorded beenverified.com/svc/optout/search/ as the search route and observed a security challenge. The current page could not be rechecked. Follow the instructions shown by BeenVerified; if it remains blocked, stop instead of trying to bypass it or changing security settings.

  3. 03

    Search for your listing

The October 5 review recorded searching by name and location. If the current official page supports it, search using details that match your own listing and review the result carefully before proceeding.

  4. 04

Pick the listing that is you

The October 5 review recorded selecting a matching listing. Proceed only if the current official page identifies a record you recognize; if you cannot confidently match it, stop and consult the provider's current instructions.

  5. 05

Enter your email and complete the CAPTCHA

The October 5 review recorded email entry and a CAPTCHA. If the current page requests these steps, follow its instructions and use an inbox you can access. If the page stalls, stop and consult a currently published official support route if one is available; do not repeatedly submit the same request.

  6. 06

    Click the verification link

The October 5 review recorded an email-confirmation step. If the current flow still asks for confirmation, follow its instructions. Check spam folders if you are expecting a message; if the link fails, use current official instructions rather than submitting duplicate requests.

  7. 07

    Treat related sites separately

The Lifetime Value Co. lists several related brands, but that relationship does not prove a BeenVerified request applies to them. If you want to address a separate brand, check that site's current official privacy instructions and request scope independently.

  8. 08

    Check the request status

Keep any confirmation or response and follow the timeframe, if any, that BeenVerified provides for the request. The older directory estimate of 24 to 72 hours is not a current deadline. If no status is provided, use a currently published official contact route to ask about the existing request.

What the BeenVerified opt-out page looked like when we checked

Behind a human check

When we loaded beenverified.com on October 5, 2026, it showed a "verify you are human" check before the form. Use a normal browser with VPN off; the form usually appears after the check.

This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is BeenVerified?

BeenVerified is a background-check and people-search service. Visitors search by name, phone number, address or vehicle and can buy reports that pull together records tied to a person: addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives, and public court and property records.

You do not have to sign up to be in it. BeenVerified builds listings from public records and commercial data sources, not from anything you gave it. In practice that means a listing can show old addresses, former roommates and relatives, and phone numbers you no longer use. Because many people have more than one listing, for example under a maiden name or an old city, one opt-out rarely covers everything.

What a BeenVerified listing can show

  • Current and past addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Relatives and associates
  • Court and property records
  • Social media profiles

Who runs BeenVerified, and which sites one request covers

BeenVerified is operated by BeenVerified, Inc. The California registration describes the company as BeenVerified, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates. The Lifetime Value Co.'s official brand page lists related consumer brands, including PeopleLooker, NeighborWho, Ownerly, PeopleSmart, Bumper and NumberGuru. That company relationship does not establish that a BeenVerified request covers another brand; current cross-site suppression scope was not verified.

What is the beenverified.com opt-out removal process?

The October 5, 2026 review recorded a three-part flow: search by name and location, select a matching listing, then enter an email and use the emailed verification link. A security challenge also appeared. The current page and flow could not be rechecked on October 22; follow its current instructions and stop if it remains blocked. The older /app/optout/search address forwarded to /svc/optout/search/ in that historical review.

How long it takes

An earlier directory entry stated 24 to 72 hours after email confirmation. That is historical directory information, not a current BeenVerified deadline; the official page could not be rechecked on October 22, 2026. Follow any timeframe on the current official page or in the provider's response. If none is provided, ask through a contact route the provider currently publishes.

BeenVerified opt-out problems and fixes

The page loops on "Just a moment..." or "Performing security verification"

A security challenge appeared during the October 5, 2026 review, but the current page could not be rechecked. Follow the instructions currently displayed by BeenVerified. If it remains blocked, stop; do not change browser security settings or try to bypass the challenge.

I cannot find my listing in the search

The October 5 review recorded searches by name and location. If the current page supports it, try another name or location that applies to you. If you cannot find a matching listing, follow the current instructions or ask the provider through a currently published contact route.

The verification email never arrived

Check spam, promotions and mail filters. The California registration lists ccpa@beenverified.com, but this historical reference does not confirm that the inbox is currently monitored or appropriate for this request. Check the provider's current official instructions before contacting it, and avoid sending duplicate forms.

I removed one listing but another one with my name is still there

Each listing is suppressed separately. Run the search and pick flow again for every record that is you, and re-check under old names and previous locations.

A sister site still shows my details

A company relationship does not confirm shared suppression scope. Check the other site's current official privacy instructions and handle any separate request independently.

My listing came back

The current listing-refresh behavior was not rechecked. Keep the old request details, review current BeenVerified instructions, and ask about the existing listing through an official contact route if one is currently published.

Review and change history

A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.

  1. · This guide reflects material reviewed on October 5, 2026. The current official opt-out form could not be rechecked on October 22, 2026; confirm the form’s current instructions before filing. This is the recorded review baseline; no earlier editorial change log is available.

  2. · Historical route observation: bot challenge (HTTP 403). This describes only the page observed on that date; later steps and today's availability were not established by that observation.

  3. · Removed advice to weaken browser security or bypass a challenge, and replaced unsupported processing estimates with a direction to follow the provider's current status or contact instructions. The official opt-out flow was not directly verified in this review; the October 5 route baseline remains historical.

Read current independent route evidence. That record reports its own scope, date, expiry and any gaps; this history does not renew verification.
