PeopleWin opt-out: how to remove your listing through Spokeo
PeopleWin's own opt-out page (peoplewin.com/privacy/control) now returns a 404 — we confirmed it on October 5, 2026. PeopleWin runs on Spokeo's people-search database, so the working removal route is Spokeo's opt-out form at spokeo.com/optout: paste your listing URL, enter your email, pass the CAPTCHA, and click the verification link Spokeo sends. Spokeo says requests process in 24-48 hours.

Remove yourself from PeopleWin
7 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.
- 01
Find your PeopleWin listing URL
Search peoplewin.com by your full name and city and state, open the listing that matches you, and copy the page address from the address bar. You will need that exact URL for the opt-out form, so paste it into a notes file before moving on.
- 02
Go to Spokeo's opt-out form
Open spokeo.com/optout in a normal browser window. This is Spokeo's official removal page and the only working route for PeopleWin listings. You do not need a Spokeo account, and the form is free.
- 03
Paste your listing URL and email address
Paste your PeopleWin listing URL into the profile-URL field and enter an email address you control. If your PeopleWin page redirects to a spokeo.com address when opened, copy and paste that Spokeo URL instead — it is the same underlying listing.
- 04
Complete the CAPTCHA and submit
Solve the human-verification check and submit. If the CAPTCHA will not complete, turn off your VPN and ad or script blockers and try again in a fresh browser window — these checks often fail behind privacy tools.
- 05
Click the confirmation link in Spokeo's email
Spokeo emails a confirmation link to the address you entered, and the request is not processed until you click it. Check spam and promotions folders if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
- 06
Repeat for every listing
Spokeo requires each listing to be opted out individually by its unique URL. If you appear under a maiden name, an old address or a relative's household, search again and submit a separate request for each additional listing URL.
- 07
Re-check PeopleWin and Spokeo
Look up your name on both peoplewin.com and spokeo.com after two to three days. If a listing still resolves, resubmit its URL. New public records can create fresh listings later, so plan a regular re-check.
What the PeopleWin opt-out page looked like when we checked
When we loaded the documented opt-out link on October 5, 2026, peoplewin.com returned an error (HTTP 404). If it still fails, use the email route or the site's privacy page.
This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is PeopleWin?
PeopleWin is a free people-search and white pages site. You can look someone up by name and city, reverse-search a phone number, email or street address, and get a report-style listing built from public records: addresses, phone numbers, relatives, marital status and similar details. It presents itself as an independent search engine, but our research and third-party opt-out guides identify it as a Spokeo-powered property, which is why its listings behave like Spokeo listings.
That matters for removal: there is no separate PeopleWin database to clean out. Your PeopleWin listing is a view onto the same aggregated public-record data Spokeo sells, so the Spokeo opt-out is the route that actually removes it. The site makes money by upselling fuller background reports.
What a PeopleWin listing can show
- Full name, age range and aliases
- Current and past home addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Relatives and household members
- Marital status and property or social profile hints
Who runs PeopleWin, and which sites one request covers
PeopleWin does not publish an operator or parent company on its own pages. Our research notes and third-party opt-out guides identify it as part of Spokeo, the large US people-search service, and its listings map to Spokeo profiles. Either way, PeopleWin has no functioning opt-out of its own — the removal happens through Spokeo — and other people-search sites that buy the same public-record data will still carry your information until you opt out of each one.
What is the peoplewin.com opt-out removal process?
The direct peoplewin.com opt-out no longer exists: peoplewin.com/privacy/control returned a 404 when we loaded it on October 5, 2026. Because PeopleWin runs on Spokeo's database, you remove a PeopleWin listing through Spokeo's opt-out form at spokeo.com/optout — paste the listing URL, add your email, complete the CAPTCHA, and confirm via the email link Spokeo sends. Spokeo states requests are processed in 24-48 hours, and each unique listing URL must be opted out individually.
How long it takes
Spokeo states that opt-out requests are processed in 24 to 48 hours after you confirm the email link. Re-check your PeopleWin listing after two to three days; if it still resolves, resubmit the same URL. Keep in mind that listings can reappear later as new public records are ingested, so a one-time removal is not the end of the story.
PeopleWin opt-out problems and fixes
peoplewin.com/privacy/control shows a 404 error
That is expected — PeopleWin's own opt-out page is dead and we confirmed the 404 on October 5, 2026. Do not hunt for a replacement page on PeopleWin; use Spokeo's opt-out form instead.
Spokeo's form rejects my URL
Paste the complete listing address, starting with peoplewin.com or www.spokeo.com, copied from the address bar of the open listing — not a search-results page. If the PeopleWin link redirects, submit the final Spokeo URL it lands on.
The confirmation email from Spokeo never arrived
Check spam and promotions folders, then resubmit once with the same email address. The request only enters the queue after you click the link in that email.
The CAPTCHA keeps failing
Load the form in a standard browser window with VPN, proxy and privacy extensions disabled. Human-verification widgets routinely fail for IP addresses associated with VPN exit nodes.
My listing came back after a few weeks
Spokeo continually ingests new public records, and a new record means a new listing with a new URL. Search again, copy the fresh URL, and submit a new opt-out request.
My info also shows on other people-search sites
The Spokeo opt-out covers Spokeo-powered listings only. Sites such as Whitepages, Intelius, BeenVerified and TruePeopleSearch keep their own copies and each needs its own opt-out.
After you opt out of PeopleWin
Save Spokeo's confirmation email with the date and the listing URL. Because fresh public records can spawn new listings under slightly different details, re-check both peoplewin.com and spokeo.com every month at first, then every few months. Work through the other major people-search sites in parallel; that ongoing re-checking is what My Privacy Agent's Patrol plan automates.
Realistic scope
This guide explains how to request the action PeopleWin publishes for its own site. Reading the guide or sending a request does not establish completed removal. Other sites and original public records are separate; recheck the specific peoplewin.com page after the site's response and if the information appears again.
Not yet a filed-for-you target
This page documents PeopleWin's published privacy route. My Privacy Agent Patrol does not file this site automatically yet. An exposure check uses configured sources and does not confirm that this specific site is included.
PeopleWin opt-out FAQ
Is PeopleWin legit, and why is its opt-out page broken?
PeopleWin itself is a real, functioning people-search site — the broken part is its own opt-out link, which now returns a 404. The safe, official removal route is Spokeo's published opt-out form, which is free and only asks for a listing URL and your email to confirm the request. Do not pay a third party to submit this free form for you.
How do I remove my information from PeopleWin?
Find your listing on peoplewin.com and copy its URL. Then open Spokeo's opt-out form at spokeo.com/optout, paste the URL, enter your email, complete the CAPTCHA, and click the confirmation link Spokeo emails you. PeopleWin runs on Spokeo's database, so the Spokeo form is the route that removes the listing.
Why does the PeopleWin opt-out page show a 404?
The old opt-out address, peoplewin.com/privacy/control, stopped working. We loaded it on October 5, 2026 and it returned a 404 error. The flow changed: removals now go through Spokeo's opt-out form.
How long does a PeopleWin removal take?
Spokeo says opt-out requests are processed within 24 to 48 hours after you click the confirmation email link. Allow two to three days before re-checking your listing.
Does opting out of PeopleWin remove me from Spokeo too?
PeopleWin listings are views onto Spokeo's database, so removing the underlying listing takes it out of both. Because each listing has a unique URL, check spokeo.com separately and opt out any listings that appear only there.
Can I remove several PeopleWin listings at once?
No. Spokeo's form requires one unique listing URL per request. If you have multiple listings — old addresses, name variants — submit each URL separately and confirm each confirmation email.
Why did my PeopleWin listing come back?
Spokeo continually receives new and updated records from public sources, which can generate a new listing with a new URL even after a successful opt-out. Re-search your name, copy the new URL, and submit a fresh request.

Review and change history
A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.
· Guide content reviewed against the published sources. This is the recorded review baseline; no earlier editorial change log is available.
· Historical route observation: http error (HTTP 404). This describes only the page observed on that date; later steps and today's availability were not established by that observation.
Read current independent route evidence. That record reports its own scope, date, expiry and any gaps; this history does not renew verification.
