How to remove yourself from USPhoneBook (2026 opt-out guide)
Guide content reviewed 2026-10-05
Reading current independent checks… See route evidence
Go to usphonebook.com/removal, say whether you are the subject or an authorized agent, and enter your name and an email address you control. Tick the authorization box, pass the reCAPTCHA and click Begin Removal Process. USPhoneBook then emails a link that works for 24 hours. Click it, complete the second form so it matches your listing, and look for the confirmation email. Our research puts processing at about three days.

Work through this with your agent
Give your agent the published steps, sources and read-only tools. It should check the current official process and ask before taking action.

Check if you are listed on USPhoneBook
USPhoneBook does not expose a stable public search URL we can prefill, so find your listing directly: open usphonebook.com, search your full name plus your state (and previous states), and copy the URL of the record that is you. The opt-out form usually asks for that URL or the same name and location.
What USPhoneBook typically shows
- Your name and phone numbers (mobile, landline and old numbers)
- Current and past addresses
- Relatives and associates
- Age
- Email addresses
- Property details such as estimated value, as reported by independent reviewers
An exposure report can help organize candidate listings before you work through the site's official steps.
Remove yourself from USPhoneBook
8 steps. Use the official site in a normal browser and follow its current instructions if a human check fails.
- 01
Find every record that is yours
Search USPhoneBook by each phone number you have used, including old mobiles and any landline, and by your name. A landline, an old mobile and a current mobile can each have their own record. Note the name, city, state and number exactly as each listing shows them, because the second form has to match.
- 02
Open the official removal page
Go to usphonebook.com/removal. Older guides link to usphonebook.com/opt-out, which forwards to the same page. Check the address bar before you type anything. Our older notes flagged bot protection on the site, so use a normal browser window with no VPN and no privacy extensions that block scripts.
- 03
Say who is filing
Use the "I am:" menu to choose "The subject of the request" if the listing is yours. The other choice is "An authorized agent of the subject", for a parent, attorney or other person acting for someone. Pick the option that matches who is actually filing.
- 04
Enter the subject's name and email
Fill in Subject First Name and Subject Last Name, which are required, and Subject Middle Name if you want. Enter an email address you control in Subject Email. One independent guide advises leaving out periods, hyphens and other special characters in the name. Tick the box that authorizes USPhoneBook to send communications about the request.
- 05
Pass the reCAPTCHA and begin
Complete the reCAPTCHA checkbox and click Begin Removal Process. If the button stays grey or nothing happens, disable ad and script blockers for the page and try again in a fresh window. Then leave the tab and open your email.
- 06
Click the emailed link within 24 hours
USPhoneBook sends a link that expires after 24 hours. If you miss it, start again from step 2. The link opens a second form that has to match the record you want removed. Independent guides say it asks for your name, city, state and phone number, plus a box confirming the details are accurate.
- 07
Submit and keep the confirmation
After you submit the second form you should see a confirmation page, and USPhoneBook should also send a confirmation email. Save both. The email is your proof of the request date if the listing is still live later.
- 08
Repeat for other records and re-check
Run the process again for each additional phone number or record. About three days later, search each number again. A removed record should stop appearing. Add a calendar reminder to search again every few months, since new data pulls can rebuild a record.
What the USPhoneBook opt-out page looked like when we checked
We loaded the opt-out page on usphonebook.com on October 5, 2026 and it was up. The first screen asked for: First Last Name, City, state, I am:. The page includes a reCAPTCHA check.
This is a dated record of what our browser saw, not a removal. We never submit requests from this page.

What is USPhoneBook?
USPhoneBook is a reverse-phone lookup and people-search site. You type in a 10-digit phone number, a name or an address, and it returns a record that ties numbers to a person, usually with addresses, relatives and other details. Because the site is built around phone numbers, one person can have several records: a landline, an old mobile and a current mobile may each have their own page.
You never signed up for it. The removal page does not say where the data comes from, but independent guides say it draws on public records, phone directories and other data brokers, and that it sells optional paid reports. That is how a number you never gave the site ends up attached to your name, your past addresses and your relatives.
What a USPhoneBook listing can show
- Your name and phone numbers (mobile, landline and old numbers)
- Current and past addresses
- Relatives and associates
- Age
- Email addresses
- Property details such as estimated value, as reported by independent reviewers
Who runs USPhoneBook, and which sites one request covers
USPhoneBook does not name a parent company on the pages we could check, and our research lists none. The Better Business Bureau profile for USPhoneBook.com gives Confi-Chek, Inc. of Sacramento, California as the business, and one independent guide says the same. We could not confirm that on USPhoneBook's own pages. We found no list of sister sites that one request covers. FastPeopleSearch, TruePeopleSearch and SearchPeopleFree use a similar email-first flow, but each has its own form and needs its own request.
What is the usphonebook.com opt-out removal process?
The usphonebook.com removal process is email-first and has two forms. On the first, at usphonebook.com/removal, you say whether you are the subject or an authorized agent, enter your first, optional middle and last name plus an email address, tick the authorization box, pass a reCAPTCHA checkbox and click Begin Removal Process. USPhoneBook emails a link that is valid for 24 hours. The link opens a second form that must match the record, followed by a confirmation page and a confirmation email. When we loaded the page on October 5, 2026 it showed these fields.
How long it takes
Our research puts processing at about three days once the second form is submitted, and the emailed link must be used within 24 hours of the first form. USPhoneBook's own pages were not available to our automated fetches, so we cannot quote a newer figure. Search each number again after three or four days. If a record is still live after a week, repeat the process from the start and keep the confirmation email from your first attempt.
USPhoneBook opt-out problems and fixes
The emailed link has expired
The link works for 24 hours. Go back to usphonebook.com/removal, submit the first form again with the same email address, and open the new email straight away. Use the newest link, not the old one.
No email arrived
Check spam, promotions and any filters, and make sure the address was typed correctly. Submit the first form once more. If you use a work or school address that blocks automated mail, try a personal one.
The second form cannot match my record
Search your listing by phone number and copy the name, city, state and number exactly as shown. Leave out periods and hyphens in the name. If you have more than one record, file a separate request for each.
The page will not load or the reCAPTCHA does not appear
Turn off your VPN, ad blockers and script blockers, or use another browser. When we loaded the page on October 5, 2026 it opened without a bot-check screen and showed the form fields.
My request was refused because of my state
Independent testers disagree. One reported a refusal for a state with no comprehensive privacy law, while another says anyone can ask. We could not check this on USPhoneBook's own policy. Keep the refusal text, confirm your name and city match the listing, and try again once.
My listing came back
USPhoneBook says information may appear in its data products again as new public records arrive. Search by phone number every few months and repeat the process, keeping each confirmation email.
After you opt out of USPhoneBook
Keep every confirmation email. USPhoneBook is phone-centric, so after it clears, search by each number you use and by your name. The same details are usually on similar sites such as FastPeopleSearch, TruePeopleSearch and SearchPeopleFree, which need separate requests. Re-check every two to three months. Doing that across dozens of sites is what My Privacy Agent's Patrol plan automates.
Who does what for USPhoneBook
The honest split, so nothing here reads as a promise we cannot keep.
What we handle
- Opening the official USPhoneBook form pre-filled with your scan details.
- Tracking the request status after you complete the step only you can do.
- Re-checking usphonebook.com before anything is marked removed.
What you must do
- Complete the step USPhoneBook requires from you directly: a CAPTCHA, email confirmation.
- Open the confirmation email and click the link -- the request is not filed until you do.
- Pass the CAPTCHA or human check on the official site in a normal browser; follow that site's troubleshooting if it fails.
- Re-check usphonebook.com after Our research puts processing at about three days once the second form is submitted, and the emailed link must be used within 24 hours of the first form. USPhoneBook's own pages were not available to our automated fetches, so we cannot quote a newer figure. Search each number again after three or four days. If a record is still live after a week, repeat the process from the start and keep the confirmation email from your first attempt. and repeat the process if the listing returns.
Realistic scope
This guide removes this one USPhoneBook listing once you complete the step only you can do. It does not touch USPhoneBook's other data products, other brokers that buy data from USPhoneBook, or the public records the listing was built from -- those need their own opt-outs. Most people-search sites re-ingest data on their own schedule, so plan on re-checking usphonebook.com every few months even after a successful removal.
My Privacy Agent opens the USPhoneBook form and tracks the outcome.
USPhoneBook requires a step only you can do (a CAPTCHA, email confirmation). After you authorize a mission, our agent opens the official form with your scan details, hands you that step, records the request as filed only when the site confirms it, and re-checks the listing before anything is called removed. If the site blocks the agent, you get the same instructions above instead of a fake status.
Current service availability and terms are listed on the pricing page. Nothing is marked removed before a provider or native action succeeds.
USPhoneBook opt-out FAQ
Is USPhoneBook legit, and is its removal form safe to use?
USPhoneBook is a real people-search site, and usphonebook.com/removal is its official removal page. The fields we saw asked for a name, an email address, an authorization tick and a reCAPTCHA, then a second form to identify the record. They did not ask for payment, a Social Security number or an account. The BBB lists the business as not accredited, so use only the official page and do not pay a third party to remove you.
How do I remove myself from USPhoneBook?
Go to usphonebook.com/removal, choose the subject option, enter your name and email, tick the authorization box, pass the reCAPTCHA and click Begin Removal Process. Click the emailed link within 24 hours, complete the second form, and keep the confirmation email.
How long does the USPhoneBook opt-out take?
Our research puts processing at about three days after you finish the second form. The emailed link expires after 24 hours. Search your number again after three or four days and repeat the request if the record is still live.
How do I find my USPhoneBook listing?
Search by your phone number, because the site is organized around numbers. Try every number you have used, including landlines and old mobiles, then search by name. Each number can have its own record and each needs its own request.
Why is my USPhoneBook listing back after I opted out?
USPhoneBook says your information may appear in its data products again as new public records arrive. Opting out removes the record it matched but does not change the source records. Search again every few months and file a new request.
Does removing me from USPhoneBook remove me from FastPeopleSearch or TruePeopleSearch?
No. They are separate sites with separate forms. They use a similar email-first flow, but a USPhoneBook request does not reach them. Search each site by name and phone number and file its own request.
Can someone else request removal for me?
Yes. The form has an "I am:" menu with an option for an authorized agent of the subject. The pages we could read do not say what proof USPhoneBook may ask for, so keep any paperwork showing you are authorized.
Does it cost anything to opt out of USPhoneBook?
The form we saw did not ask for payment. USPhoneBook sells optional paid reports, but you do not need one to remove yourself. Avoid any site that asks you to pay for the removal request.
Does My Privacy Agent remove me from USPhoneBook automatically?
USPhoneBook requires a step only you can do (a CAPTCHA, email confirmation). After you authorize a mission, our agent opens the official form with your scan details, hands you that step, records the request as filed only when the site confirms it, and re-checks the listing before anything is called removed. If the site blocks the agent, you get the same instructions above instead of a fake status.

A content review or directory snapshot is reference history. A historical route observation does not establish submission, provider acceptance or removal, and does not establish a current working route. Current independent evidence has its own scope and expiry.
